Our students are curious about the built environment and its social, cultural, political and ecological contexts. Resourceful, entrepreneurial and actively engaged in our local and global communities, our students are passionate about making our world a better place for all. We often display students' work in the exhibition spaces along the main corridor of Vol Walker Hall.
Mastering design concepts and skills requires time, space and an intensity of focus. But all work and no play makes for dull design. At the Fay Jones School, we encourage our students to have a life outside of studio. Dining on Dickson Street, attending an art opening or kayaking on the Cossatot River are just some of the ways to unwind.
