At the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design, we help our students make the leap from campus to the real world. Thanks to close relationships with alumni who lead in the design professions and professors committed to networking, our students are able to transition into design practice, graduate education, and other opportunities for further personal, professional development.
Handshake
In 2017, the University of Arkansas upgraded its online electronic job management system to Handshake, an open platform used by more than 160 universities. Using Handshake, students and graduates belonging to the Arkansas Alumni Association can search for and apply to part-time and full-time jobs and internships. Employers who are specifically interested in targeting our students use the platform to post jobs and review applicants. Career Fair
Each year, the Fay Jones School hosts a career fair. Representatives from design firms and other organizations from across the United States come to campus to interview and hire our students. Students can learn more about organizations of interest to them and find jobs and internships in the United States and abroad.
