Mid-Century Modern Architecture in Northwest Arkansas

The four-county Northwest Arkansas region includes the counties of Washington, Benton, Madison and Carroll – and are all in close proximity (within 50 miles) to the University of Arkansas campus, where the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design is located. Faculty from the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design have initially identified 25 examples of such architecture designed and built between 1946 and 1976.

While many private residences with cultural importance to the region have been designed by mid-century modernists, only the addresses included here are of residences already part of the public domain – such as those listed with the National Register of Historic Places, those easily found through basic research, or those where the current owners have provided permission to be shared.

Private residences are not open to the public. Please respect private property by not trespassing.
