The Anthony Timberlands Center for Design and Materials Innovation has garnered much attention as a landmark structure for the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design, University of Arkansas, and the City of Fayetteville.
We have had an abundance of requests for tours. We are so proud of the building and want to give everyone the opportunity to visit.
Here is how you request a tour:
Email Amy Shell at shell@uark.edu
In the email state your name, affiliation, additional guests, and if the tour is being incorporated as part of an event.
Group tours may require more time to schedule:
- The tour guide can accommodate no more than 12 individuals for purposes of elevator occupancy and personal protective equipment on hand.
- You must be accompanied by the tour guide at all times. Access to workshop equipment is for authorized users only.
- If the tour is part of a school event, the participants must be over the age of 12 and must be accompanied by an additional chaperone for every six participants.
With this information Amy Shell will direct your request to one of two individuals who provide tours.
A two-week lead time is required for all tours.
Tours are given Tuesday through Friday from noon to 1 p.m.
We are limited to two tours a week.
You will enter through the main entrance on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. You will sign in to the guest book, and you will be provided with personal protective equipment.
There is no visitor parking. It is up to the visitor to secure parking elsewhere.
