President/CEO, Sapp Design Associates Architects, P.C.

Michael Sapp graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1982 with a Bachelor of Architecture.  A native of Missouri, Sapp completed internships at Blass, Chilcote, Carter, Langford, and Wilcox in Little Rock, as well as Casey Associates of Springfield.  The two companies merged to form BCCLW/Casey and Sapp was hired upon graduating.  After two years with BCCLW/Casey, Sapp accepted a position with Burns/Foster Associates and was quickly promoted to an associate level within the firm where he worked until completion of the registration exam in 1985.

After a short attempt at partnering with two fellow architects to form a firm, Sapp opened a new practice that has grown to be one of the largest in southwest Missouri. Sapp Design Associates has been in business for more than 26 years and has received numerous design awards.  SDA has also been recognized as “Choice Employer" for the past four years by the Springfield Business Journal, as well as receiving a nomination for “Small Business of the Year."  These accolades are the result of a talented and dedicated group of professionals.

SDA focuses primarily in the public markets, specifically educational and municipal projects, throughout the Midwest.  Recently, the firm has expanded its markets internationally with the community of Teridag, Turkey.
